Here I have this lampshade for you by the Danish artist Birte Vedel Howard. Birte Vedel Howard (born 1932 in Aarhus) studied art in Arhus and the Jutland Art Academy and was active both as a painter and as a ceramist. She gained international recognition through her exhibitions at the Aarhus Art Museum and the art museums in Randers and Oslo. This unusual lampshade from the 1970s impresses with its unusual design and the green-brown glaze. The openings on the side edges also allow light to fall through the lampshade, which underscores the unique character of the lamp. In my other advertisements you will find many more design lamps and studio ceramics from Denmark.
